Our best tip here is plan early! If you call Charlotte during Symphony Season
(September to June) she usually returns calls within 2 weeks. Don't give up or
be discouraged....she has a maniacal schedule.
But on the other hand, if you are planning a function a year ahead of time,
just be aware that she works around each season's Symphony Schedule, which she
doesn't receive until August.
In any event, February is usually out for any other gigs, and during other
months, she's pretty picky. But it doesn't hurt to ask.
Charlotte is not taking private students at this time. However, if you would
like to have your child enroll at University of North Florida, in the Percussion
Program, here are some tips:
- Percussion auditions are held twice a year (November and February) for the
Fall semester.
Applicants should be prepared to:
- perform one mallet solo
- perform one snare drum solo or etude
- sight read on mallet instruments as well as snare drum
- Timpani and multiple percussion are optional (but can't hurt)
